Wimbledon 2001
11 July 2001
Our second visit to Wimbledon. After last year's 9-hour queue to see about
twenty minutes of tennis, this year we were fortunate enough to get tickets for
No. 1 Court on the middle Saturday.

After being confined to the outside courts last year, it was quite a treat to be
on a show court. The stands were surprisingly empty initially, but the most
impressive thing was how intimate it all felt, with the court so close.

Some over-35 men's doubles

There were a few interruptions for rain

Palmer and Johnson beat Rikl and Novak

Then some mixed doubles, with Bryan and Huber beating Bhupathi and Likhovtseva

After the showers, some sunshine, and the stands started to fill up
