Edstone Aqueduct

A low key start to our honeymoon, with our flight to Cyprus not until the following day.


Lucy's first full day as Mrs Dawson, and a visit to Edstone Aqueduct on the Stratford-on-Avon Canal


The aqueduct is unusual in that the towpath runs alongside the iron trough giving the walker a duck's-eye view of the water and any passing boats.


The aqueduct is the longest on this canal, the iron trough carrying the canal for 754 feet (about 230 metres), over the road, a river and a railway
