Jersey Holiday
28 to 31 May 2006
Lucy and her mother spent a long weekend visiting Jersey, as a special present
for Kathleen's special birthday.

A well known face at the Jersey Pearl collection, which in addition to pearls
included...

...A familiar looking Aston Martin

Steam locomotives and traction engines at the Jersey Steam Museum

St Matthews Glass church

Some pictures of Jersey's beautiful south coast, from a very pleasant cruise
trip

Elizabeth Castle

A bear at the Jersey Wildlife zoo, founded by Gerald Durrell - the main reason
for visiting the island was because Lucy & Kathleen had both always wanted to
visit this zoo.

A poison dart frog - these come in several extremely bright colours

A gorilla staring back at the crowds staring at him

Lucy paddling in the picturesque Piemont Bay on the north side of the island

The amphibious Puddleducks travel between the mainland and Elizabeth
Castle, which is only accessible by foot at low tide. The vehicles take on their
passengers, then back down into the sea...

...and become boats, chugging across the water!

And coming out of the sea again, turning back into a bus.
