Great Northern Railway Class N2 is an 0-6-2T side tank steam locomotive designed by Nigel Gresley, and today pulls our train from Dereham to Wymondham and back


We pass a BR Class 101


Wymondham Abbey from the train


Bearing number 1744, also known as 4744 and BR 69523, this is the only example of its class to remain in preservation.


The locomotive is owned by the Great Central Railway where it is based when not on hire to other railways as today.


Heading back to towards Dereham


Approaching Thuxton. The passing loop was opened in 2010.


Thuxton station is private, and available to let as holiday accomodation.

At Dereham, the locomotive stands by the signal box as we head for home.
