Stour Valley PathThe Stour Valley Path runs for about 103 km from between Cattawade near Manningtree on the Suffolk/Essex border along the River Stour to Newmarket near the river's source. The river largely forms the border between Essex and Suffolk, and so the path crosses between the two counties a number of times, as well as a brief visit to Cambridgeshire. The majority of the path forms part of the eastern route of European Path E2 on its way from Galway to the south of France. However, I've chosen to walk it downstream, thus eventually merging into my walk along the Stour & Orwell Walk on towards the sea. My walks on the Stour Valley Path
