The Thames Path

The Thames Path National Trail opened in 1996 and follows the River Thames from its source at Thames Head in Gloucestershire to the Thames Flood Barrier in east London; an extension, not forming part of the National Trail, runs from the Thames Barrier to Crayford Ness beyond Erith and links with the London Loop.

National Trails record the length as 184 miles (294 km) to the Flood Barrier; the full length to Crayford Ness is given by the Ramblers Association as 310.5km (inconsistently converted to 194 miles). My own estimate from maps and from a GPS plot is about 313.3 km (194.7 miles).
