Romney, Hythe & Dymchurch Railway

3 April 2005

Our locomotive, Typhoon, stands at Hythe ready to take the 1230 train to Dungeness

At the other end of the line, Lucy and Ellie in front of the old lighthouse

Typhoon ready to head back north

Travelling around the loop line on the way to Romney Sands, showing the shingle landscape here, which is dotted with cottages and laced with power and telephone lines, as well as the nuclear power station. A odd sort of place, with the potential to be very attractive, but spoilt by man's haphazard constructions.
